POSTPONED: Seneca Falls: Birthplace of Women’s Rights

POSTPONED: Seneca Falls: Birthplace of Women’s Rights

Explore Seneca Falls, the Birthplace of Women’s Rights, with the League of Women Voters of Florida. We will have the opportunity to tour the Eastman Museum, the world’s oldest museum dedicated to photography and one of the world’s oldest film archives. The story of the first Women’s Rights Convention held in Seneca Falls, NY in 1848 will be heard at the Women’s Rights National Historical Park. It is a story of struggles for civil rights, human rights, and equality, global struggles that continue today. And enjoy tapas and art at the Memorial Art Gallery!

Travel back in time  to historic Rochester and Seneca Falls.
This guided tour group will visit museums, galleries, and historical sites. Among them:
  • Mount Hope Cemetery
  • The Harriet Tubman Home
  • Women’s Rights National Historical Park.
We will also enjoy a winery tour and tasting along the way.
Each traveler is responsible for their transportation to and from the Finger Lakes Region before and after the trip.
The LWVFL recommends arriving and departing from Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC).
Travelers should plan on arriving at the hotel by 3:00 PM on September 26, 2018 to begin the group trip. You will need to plan on taking a taxi service from the airport to the hotel.
