Together, let’s say YES to second chances and redemption and provide restoration for felons so they can be full members of our communities.
The proposed ballot summary is as follows:
This amendment restores the voting rights of Floridians with felony convictions after they complete all terms of their sentence including parole or probation.
The amendment would not apply to those convicted of murder or sexual offenses. Those ex-felons would continue to be permanently barred from voting unless the Governor and Cabinet voted to restore their voting rights on a case by case basis.
In order to get this Voting Restoration Amendment onto the 2018 ballot, 700,000 petitions from Florida voters need to be collected by December, 2017!
They’ve paid their debt to society.
It’s time to restore our citizen’s their right to vote.
