The League’s goal is to make Florida NUMBER ONE in rooftop solar.
Our partnership with Solar United Neighbors of Florida has launched over 50 solar co-ops around Florida. In 2017 alone these solar co-ops accounted for 10% of the new residential solar in Florida! Each of these solar co-ops helps “Main Street Floridians” save tons of money by harnessing the power of the sun.
- Be the catalyst to start a community solar co-op. In the last three years, the League has helped start 50 co-ops around the state resulting in $31Million+ dollars of solar on Florida rooftops. Will you help get one started in your county? Call Mary, our solar expert at 407 340-9680. The League partners with Solar United Neighbors of Florida. This nonprofit program helps communities learn about and affordably participate in solar via volume purchasing and competitive bidding to achieve major discounts. Electric Vehicle and Clean Energy Transit:
Working to address the fact that transportation now accounts for more climate warming carbon than power plants, League has launched the NextCarPledge.org. This campaign is designed to speed up the transition to cleaner, quieter and cheaper transportation, in partnership with Southern Alliance for Clean Energy (SACE).
- Start an Electric Vehicle Committee to issue a report card on your county and keep the pressure on for more charging stations. Send letters to your local paper about how electric cars save money and improve our community health. Encourage your friends and family to pledge to check out electric cars: NextCarPledge.org. This campaign is designed to speed up the transition to cleaner, quieter and cheaper transportation, in partnership with Southern Alliance for Clean Energy (SACE). Questions?
