Ben Friedman

Ben Friedman is an attorney and native Floridian originally from St. Augustine. He is the Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council at the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando, where he leads local, state and federal government affairs, non-partisan political advocacy, and public outreach on behalf of the Central Florida Jewish Community.

Ben’s professional experience includes congressional investigations in both the U.S. House and Senate, and serving as a law clerk to former Commissioner Mignon Clyburn at the Federal Communications Commission. Prior to returning to Florida, Ben most recently assisted clients in navigating the political climate at the Washington, D.C. office of The Raben Group, a national public affairs, lobbying and consulting firm.

In addition to his work, Ben serves as a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the Orlando Sentinel and the steering committees for the Florida Coalition to Prevent Gun Violence and the Central Florida Commission on Religious Freedom. He also served on the Host Committee for Equality Florida’s 2018 Orlando Gala.

Ben graduated from Florida State University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in political science, and in 2015 earned his Juris Doctor at The American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C.
